Hello Readers, Friends and Friendly Readers!
One of my favorite sayings is that people are in your life “for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.”
The same can be said about projects and business ventures. Heck, the bottle shown below was gifted to me by my advisory board when I sold my company in 2o21. This was after some 25 years working in just about every aspects of the wine business. Or, as we liked to impress upon anyone that cared, the business of wine.
This blog helped me remain the perpetual student of wine and continue the seemingly infinite voyage of wine discovery that drew me to this magical elixir in the first place.
But I feel the season for this blog is drawing to a close. We have reached, to paraphrase Frank Sinatra (or Sid Vicious, if you prefer that version) “the final curtain” of Vinopointer.
So I raise a glass to all of you that were engaged, and enjoyed this blog and its featured wines as much as I enjoyed writing about them and introducing you to products that I was personally intrigued by or passionate about.

I can’t say for sure that I won’t encounter some extraordinary bottling and fire out an alert on some weeks in the future. But I am going to focus on other writing projects and less on the unrelenting schedule of weekly wine posts. I am retired after all.
Thanks and again, and peace and good health you to all.
Larry
